March 11 - March 15
This week from the perspective of the students:
We made connections in reading in our books. –AV
We did research and researched about what things make
Calgary a better place. –DT
When you research, you need to read. We are sounding out
words, we are figuring out what words mean in the dictionary, and building
vocabulary. NC, AR, EW
We are writing when we write down our ideas about what to
build. – GM
In research, we were looking at images and websites. One of
the images, it looked like it was the buddy bench. NNS
We thought of how we can be global citizens. KB
We started handwriting and we were practicing the letters,
c, a, i, t, e, l, j, d, h, g, and y. SS
This week, we were practicing multiplication strategies in
math. My favourite is drawing pictures. GB
In math, we played a new game with dice and you roll a dice.
It was a double one. You roll the dice and the one on the inside, those would
be big circles and the ones on the outside would be inside the big ones. EM (Rm
11)
This week, we did Mission Impossible and I liked the music
that they put on. JM
In Phys Ed, we were finishing up the Mission Impossible. We
got to do it for three days. Our favourite part was the bean bags because we
got to balance them on each other. We would balance them on our friends and
stand in a T pose. AR and EW
In Sibbald U, I’m in Abstract Painting, and we finished our
canvases and we painted the edges and we did our last few coats. Then we put
them on the drying rack. AM
In Sibbald U, I’m in Get Moving, we did a scavenger hunt
that we would try to get the letters to spell something. My partner and I
couldn’t figure it out but there were four people who figured it out. It was
the grades 4, 5, and 6 who figured it out. The word was “outside fun”. ES
In music, we are going to get our recorders soon. AG
