October 15 - 19

Highlights of our week from the perspective of our students:

"This week we made self portraits. We used different materials to make our self portraits. For my hair I used brown yarn and I also used pink ribbons." SS

"We wrote about our self portraits and one of the things I wrote about was I used a blue background to let my brother know that I am always thinking about him."AM

"We read a book which was no words in it,  its called Flotsam and in the book there was a boy who found a flotsam in the water that was an underwater camera. that takes pictures. The boy found a special photo of people taking photos of themselves with a photo and it goes on and on and at the end of the book the boy throws it in the water and someone else finds it."ED

"Ms. Manser and Mr. Newman did the chicken dance in the assembly." KB

"We did partner reading... its when you go with a partner and read with them." IB

"We did a Stem Challenge today. I went with my brother. At the first station it would always fall down when we asked Mr. Newman to take a picture so we had to keep building another one." ES
